Alma provides health information, not medical diagnosis.
Every answer is screened for safety before it is drafted, grounded in a corpus clinicians curate, and shown with the sources it drew on. Alma works in English, Pidgin, Yorùbá, Hausa and Igbo, by voice or text.
A query as it arrives, illustrative: “Body dey hot since yesterday, wetin I go do?”

8,791 entries. 989 brands mapped across 102 generics.
Deterministic trigram match. Brand names are expanded to generic before the search runs.
3,102 chunks sit outside the searchable set.
Their reporting weeks could not be parsed reliably. Undated epidemiological data is not safe to reason from, so it is excluded until it can be dated.
150 rows, awaiting clinician review.
Retrieval measured on Pidgin queries.
Figures describe the current build and are published by Kindred Labs. The corpus and the pipeline are growing.
A primary generation model with two providers behind it. Every failover reason is logged, and reducing how often answers fall through the chain is active engineering work.
A clinical question with no grounded Nigerian source returns a refusal, not a guess. No clinical answer is produced from model recall alone, on any provider in the chain.
Prompt architecture, how sources are ranked and selected, and how the components are configured are not published. What this page shows is what flows, in what order, and who is answerable for each stage.
Alma answers from a corpus that clinicians curate and review, and each answer carries the sources it drew on. That is the difference between an answer you can check and an answer you have to trust. A doctor reading it with you can go to the same source.
The system is Alma's. Some of its components are built on external foundation models.
Amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels so the heart pumps against less pressure. Taking it at the same time each day keeps the effect steady.
Illustrative. Not a real answer or a real citation list.
Source composition beyond the public sources named above, and how sources are weighted or ranked, are not published.
Every question passes a safety screen before anything is drafted. Nothing reaches the person until it has been through it.
A clinical question with no grounded Nigerian source returns a refusal rather than a guess. No clinical answer is produced from model recall alone.
Alma says when something needs a clinic rather than a chat. Pointing toward care is part of the answer, not an afterthought.
The doctor workspace will put a clinician on the other side of the same record, so a person can move from an answer to the doctor holding their history.
Thresholds, scores and the rules inside each stage are not published. Naming the stages is what lets a clinician judge whether the shape is right. Publishing the numbers inside them is what would let someone route around them.
A facility sees what it is given, not a whole history.
Records travel only where the person sends them. Alma does not sell personal health data.
Records are encrypted, and the privacy model is built to Nigeria Data Protection Act standards.
A Universal Health ID that stays with the person rather than with the facility.
Questions about sexual and reproductive health are redacted from retrieval logs before they are written. The log records that a retrieval happened, not what was asked.
A correction is a new record that points at the one it amends. Nothing is overwritten.
FHIR and HL7-compatible APIs and claims submission. The technical surface is documented on Health Rails.
Alma's clinical benchmark is in development. Evaluation is clinician in the loop, not automated scoring alone.
There are no benchmark results on this page because the benchmark has not run. Methodology and results publish together, or not at all. The figures in the pipeline section are measurements of the current build, not benchmark results.
Everything on this list is being built. None of it is live, and none of it is described anywhere on this site in the present tense.
If something needs a clinician, Alma says so and points you toward care.
